Game #4
Digital Pioneers Academy Overwhelms Paul VI, 50-7, Behind Laroy Williams' Four Touchdowns
Washington, D.C., program builds 38-7 halftime lead as Panthers struggle to contain explosive rushing attack.
CHANTILLY, Va. — Friday, September 25, 2026 — Paul VI entered Friday night's matchup hoping to build on its first victory of the season.
Instead, Digital Pioneers Academy delivered an overwhelming offensive performance, defeating the Panthers, 50-7, in a nonconference matchup.
Running back Laroy Williams led the visiting Pythons with 207 rushing yards and four touchdowns on just eight carries.
Williams averaged nearly 26 yards per attempt, giving Digital Pioneers Academy an explosive rushing threat that Paul VI struggled to contain.
The Pythons established control in the opening quarter, scoring 16 points while limiting the Panthers to seven.
Digital Pioneers Academy then scored 22 unanswered points in the second quarter to take a 38-7 halftime lead.
The visitors added six points in each of the final two quarters while holding Paul VI scoreless after the opening period.
Quarterback Santana Smith completed five of 10 passes for 85 yards and a touchdown for Digital Pioneers Academy.
Receiver Qualoe Parker caught three passes for 50 yards and a touchdown.
Paul VI quarterback Hudson Akin completed eight of 13 passes for 77 yards, one touchdown and one interception.
Receiver No. 81 led the Panthers' receiving production with three catches for 48 yards.
Matt Underwood added 18 rushing yards on two carries.
But Paul VI's offense could not sustain the production it had displayed in its 41-0 victory over Saint John Paul the Great the previous week.
The Panthers scored just seven points and were held scoreless for the final three quarters.
The loss dropped Paul VI to 1-3, while Digital Pioneers Academy improved to 4-1.
Paul VI will next host St. Albans of Washington, D.C., on October 2.
DMV Gridiron Takeaway: Digital Pioneers Academy's explosive rushing attack proved too much for Paul VI. Williams' 207 yards and four touchdowns exposed defensive vulnerabilities, while the Panthers' offense struggled to build on its previous week's breakthrough.
